Somewhat Deep Intel and an OOPS!

It was a shocking week, and there's more to come.

There are things going on behind the scenes in Israel's war with Iran that are obvious to a handful of specialists, but less obvious to the rest of us - unless we are listening to these specialists.

Some of this information will shock some of you, and even surprised me at how far things have progressed. We live in truly interesting times, and even I am shocked at how swiftly some things move.

So join me as I talk about what no one else is saying in the mainstream media, and that oops I made last week.

Somewhat Deep Intel and an OOPS!

I get tired of people claiming deep intel on any certain thing. No one has 'deep intel' in the midst of the fog of war. The best that we can do is reflect on some things that must be happening if certain other things are also happening. So, always be cynical when the words 'Deep Intel' are in the title of any video or article. But first that oops.

OOPS!

Last week I described Operation Many Ways as occurring in September 2023. I don't know how I got that year stuck in my head as I was reading the reports on this operation, but I did. And I was wrong. The correct date is:

September 8th, 2024

NOT 2023!

I hate making mistakes like that, but there isn't a writer out there that doesn't. But this mistake has implications on the current Operation Rising Lion. Netanyahu has confidently said that they have ways of handling the underground nuclear facilities themselves, and they proved it with the destruction of the underground missile factory built by Iran in Syria.

It took 50 minutes to break into that Iranian bunker. And Israel can expect a similar amount of time for Israeli special forces to break into the bunkers in Iran. Furthermore, Israel will have used the knowledge gained in this operation to help train the Sayeret (special forces) teams that will be involved in this operation.

Previously, Israel used Sayeret Shaldag (Kingfisher) of the Israel Air Force to penetrate this bunker. This time, Israel will need to bring in more Sayeret units with even more special skills. The Sayeret Yahalom unit was one of the most classified Sayeret units in the IDF. And its creation in 1995 tells us that Israel needed such a unit to break into the Iranian nuclear bunkers.

Operation Rising Lion

The problem is that Israel will need to secure the operations area before moving in with their Sayeret teams. Operation Many Ways, came within an hour of not making it back alive. IRGC (Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps) forces will be at a higher state of readiness than the Syrians were in 2024, so Israel will need to spend even more time prepping the operational area.

Israel's purpose in their decapitation strikes against Iranian military leadership is to make it impossible for Iran to coordinate their defenses against what the IDF (Israel Defense Forces) plan to do. You have probably already heard of the ingenuity in which Israel has taken out IRGC leadership. However, there are a few things that you might not know.

Iran has been deeply penetrated by Israel's intelligence services, partly because the average Iranian is more than willing to do anything that they can to take down the Ayatollahs. This made it easy to penetrate and take over Iran's internal communications. It has also made it easy to degrade Iranian anti-aircraft weapons and destroy important command centers.

A Possibly Ridiculous Claim, Or Not

Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, a former president of Iran, claimed in 2021 that the head of Iran's counter-Mossad unit was an Israeli agent, and this individual was later arrested and executed in secret. This claim has been widely circulated, including in posts on X from 2024, where users referenced Ahmadinejad's interview with CNN Türk, alleging that the head of the unit, along with 20 other agents, was a Mossad operative.

Just remember that the Iranians also 'arrested' 14 squirrels in 2007, claiming that they were foreign agents. This has led me to have some fun with this by claiming that Israel has a Mossad Squirrel Operations Group (MSOG). And that they were active in Iran blowing things up. Those of you who grew up in the Midwest in the '70s, know all about squirrels knocking out our power by chomping on a transformer.

When you want something blown up, ask a squirrel.

I made that logo and had fun on X talking about the exploits of this secretive group of elite squirrels. But then October 7th happened, and I lost my sense of humor for a while.

By the way, there is also a connection to my lovely wife's slight Taiwanese accent. When we were first in Israel she mentioned the Dead Sea Scrolls. But it sounded to me like she had said the Dead Sea Squirrels. And from that moment on, I was prepared to claim that the squirrels of the Dead Sea were so good at hiding, that no one could find them.

Which is why MSOG uses Dead Sea Squirrels exclusively, after that terrible incident in 2007.

So, if you will believe that Israel is using squirrels as secret agents in Iran, you will probably also believe the claim that the head of a counter-Mossad agency was a Mossad agent. Israel may even have planted that information themselves to get rid of that agency. Or... who knows? Maybe ol' Mahmoud was right.

Why So Many Israeli Jets Over Iran

Israel is sending a massive number of fighter aircraft at Iranian targets, and they have enough fuel to loiter for quite a while as targets are assigned to them. What you might not know is that Israel does not have enough air refueling tankers to refuel those aircraft. This means that they have been given help. Lots of help.

From the US or even Turkey.

The Incirlik Air Base is located in southern Turkey and is home to a number of KC-135 Stratotankers and that number will vary based upon demand. Turkey also owns and operates their own KC-135 aircraft. Israel's fleet of air refueling tankers is said to number around nine converted Boeing 707 tankers and have ordered four KC-46 Pegasus tankers. And we don't know if those new tankers have been delivered and are operational. They might have procured even more.

That being said, it is not possible for Israel to support a hundred fighter aircraft at a time as they make their bombing runs over Iran.

Here's someone that I pay a lot of attention to, since he regularly has people talk to him who are at the bleeding edge of what is going on in Ukraine, China and for now... Israel. And this video told me a lot about what was happening, that we cannot see. The whole video is worth watching, but the part about Israel getting air refueling help begins at the 12:47 mark. Why Israel is Dominating the Skies Over Iran

The Biden administration would never have allowed this. But Trump did. Not only that, but Turkey's President Erdogan is supporting Israel's campaign against Iran. Turkey pushed Iran out of Syria, cleared Syria's air space for Israel and wants Iran neutralized.

How Israel Hits Targets

The other part of Israel's success over Iran is due to their ability to hit so many high value targets so quickly. And no one talks about what is needed to make that happen. This is where Israel's Sayeret teams and any special intelligence operators active on the ground come in.

Every one of those targets needs to be identified, observed and often targeted with a laser that allows a bomb or missile to hit the target accurately. Yes, precision munitions can use GPS coordinates and reconnaissance aircraft and drones can identify certain targets and guide bombs and missiles in. But that is only part of the story.

There is no way that Israel could take out so many targets without special teams, on the ground, identifying targets and guiding the weapons on to those targets. And no, this is not 'special knowledge'. Ask any air force pilot that has had to hit specific targets, and they will tell you that 'boots on the ground' are almost always needed.

Each of those 'boots' is called a 'forward air controller' (FAC). These are men and women with the ability to identify targets and call in strikes on those targets. They would also be looking for 'targets of opportunity' that would allow them to be destroyed when they are outside of a protected area.

The Collapse of Islam In Iran

For years, I have been hearing reports that Islam was shrinking inside Islamic countries. But I never expected to discover that only 30% of Iranians identify themselves as followers of Islam. This information came to me via a YouTube channel that I have paid specific attention to for years:

So many Iranians have left Islam that most of the mosques across Iran have closed their doors. And Mohammad Faridi runs an outreach to Iranians, sharing the gospel and giving them Bibles. And the statistics that he shared about Iranians comes from this source:

Iran is not the only place in the world where Muslims are turning away from Islam. But turning away from Islam doesn't mean that they are turning toward Christ. Many are, but that's a harder number to track. And many are paying with their lives, for their faith in Christ.

One More Shock - Russia

I have friends who are Ukrainian. I have worked with Ukrainians in Israel. So, I have a personal connection to the Ukrainian people. I don't think highly of their government, but I like the Ukrainians that I know. And many share this complicated view.

But I was shocked when Russia invaded Ukraine. It was, to my mind, the dumbest possible thing that Russia could do, and it's still the worst possible decision that Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin could have made. So, I've been spending time trying to understand Russia. And every bit of information that I get adds to the shock and surprise that I feel. We do NOT understand Russia and the Russians.

Unfortunately, I can verify almost everything that she says from the many other sources I have used in the past. But she drives it home in a way that I have not often seen. This is why Russians are dying for Putin, and it's horrifying.

It's also why it is easy to see how Russia will play a role in Gog and Magog.
