Three Days Later...

Hi Everyone,

It has been almost two months since I've posted anything. Here's why.

(A more normal report about the bleak state of the future, follows this personal note.)

Three days after sending out my previous post on April 5th, I was back in the hospital. It was worse this time.

Nine days and a bad staph infection. After getting out, they did something different than last time. They gave me more than a month of antibiotics. My last pill was yesterday.

Now I get to find out if I can stay out of the hospital.

The next shock was my cancer numbers. My cancer drugs had been knocking them down quickly, until they stopped. And I don't know why.

I am hoping that this was merely a hiccup caused by improper storage of my medications and maybe a bad interaction with my antibiotics. Or maybe my CLL was temporarily able to fight off the BTKi I was taking.

If the cancer medication that I'm taking has started to fail, I honestly don't know what I will do. In many respects, this has been a terrifying roller-coaster ride. I know that all of this is part of God's plan for my life, but what the mind and spirit know, my foolish heart takes longer.

God is good, and this is not the first or even second time that I have face the truly terrifying, and God has seen me through each time. So that part of me that writes this, knows that I'm in good hands - that everything will work out.

The man who wakes up in the morning, facing an uncertain day, has a harder time.

This is why, when you read the anguish in the Psalms that David felt over his horrifying troubles, he ends praising God for His mercy in his life. Many of you have gone through such trials, so I preach to the choir.

God is infinite in mercy. I have walked the valley of shadows many times, but God has walked with me every step of the way. He has never failed me, even once.

But my weak and physical self trembles at what I face right now. So, I ask for your prayers for strength, health and peace of heart.

What the mind knows,
the heart takes longer.

I have not forgotten my responsibility to you and the rest of the Body of Christ, so allow me to continue with the threats that I saw as I sought to recover from these shocks to my system.

In my post on April 5th, I showed you that America was close to hitting the downhill slide. Unfortunately, I can now report that this has now begun.

“We believe we are at a tipping point for U.S. oil production at current commodity prices,” Travis Stice, chief executive of Permian driller Diamondback, said in a letter to shareholders last week.

For those of you who understand the dangers of Peak Oil to our civilization, will be truly concerned by that statement. I am. The other strategic resources experts feel the same.

But I wouldn't have found that article if I hadn't been following Tracy Shuchart (𝒞𝒽𝒾 ) @chigrl on X. Tracy is the source of many of the graphs that I've shown you, and I have yet to find a better source than her. Only one other person seems to have such a handle on the ungraceful collapse of our way of life:

At times, her material can be too technical for some, but I think that all of you would understand the bigger picture that she's painting. Like this one:

You might not know what a 'secular cycle' is. But you can look at that graph and see bad things coming. And allow me to mention something truly and awfully bad...

Did you, by any chance, notice that the latest budget bill going through Congress and the Senate adds even MORE trillions to the national debt?

So, add debt to our collapse in energy resources, and you get a disaster of insane proportions. And this graph that I got from Tracy tells us almost everything we need to know:

In 25 years or less, the interest that we will be paying on our national debt will be more than ten percent of our GDP.

JUST. THE. INTEREST. PAYMENTS.

Just to give you an idea about how bad that is, US taxes already consume almost 17% of GDP. And the rest of the 'developed' world is worse off than America is.

So, our debt keeps hitting record highs. The EIA has said that energy consumption will reach record highs in 2025 and 2026. And all of this is happening at a time when there is less energy per person globally, a problem that will eventually arrive in your neighborhood.

This looks just like the years leading up to the collapse of the Roman Empire. In fact, many historians call the final years of the Pax Romana as the Golden Age of Rome. And just like Rome, the collapse of our civilization will begin at the periphery - at the third and second world countries.

We don't see what's going on in those countries because the mainstream media doesn't cover the civil war in Sudan or how shaky the Egyptian government is. Sometimes, we'll see flareups like what happened between Pakistan and India, but our attention span is too short to pay much attention to them.

And how many of you know that China is racing to produce as powerful a navy as it can?

How many of you know that China recently sent a naval flotilla around the whole of Australia as a show of force, to intimidate the Australian government?

How many of you know that South Korea is on the verge of becoming a single party communist state in alliance with China and North Korea?

The next twenty years will be apocalyptic. And maybe God is taking me out early because it hurts so much to watch.

Pray for the peace of Jerusalem.
